EVANS, James – It is with deep sorrow that the family of James Neil
Evans announces his passing on Thurs., Jan. 12th, 2016 at 11am. Neil
passed away peacefully at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital due to
complications from pneumonia. He is predeceased by his parents, Bill
and Edna Evans, his brother Jack, sister Doris and his son Bruce. Neil
is survived and sorely missed by his wife Mary Lou Evans (nee Voison),
his son Rod, and daughter in law Serena. Lovingly remembered by his
grandchildren: Linda Evans, Sheree Dobson (Trevor), Amy Powers (Kyle),
Cassandra Betts (James), and Michael Frank. Also by his great
grandchildren: Shawn Dobson (Kendra), Ashley Dobson, Hailey and
Anderson Powers and Evan McWhinnie. As well, Neil will be dearly
missed by his best friends Wendell and Regina Mosgrove, the guys at
the hangar, his sisters and brothers in law, all of his fishing
buddies near and far and his many nieces and nephews. Neil will be
best remembered as a kind and gentle soul, with a warm, friendly
smile, who was helpful to all. There will be no visitation or funeral.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be contacted with
details regarding a Celebration of Life gathering. In lieu of flowers,
donations to either the Heart and Lung Association or the Canadian
Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
