Death Notice
Peacefully at Afton Park Place on Friday, November 3, 2017 Jacqueleen “Jacque” Barnes passed away at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late Lowell Barnes. Loving mother of Troy (Tracy) and Tressa (Scott) Brown. Cherished grandmother of Connor, Daniel, Leine and Paddy. Dear sister of Gertrude Ann (late Joe) Hurst, Patty (late Peter) Honsinger, Margaret (Fred) VanHorne, Bill (Shirley) Arthur, and sister-in-law of Brian (Joanne) Barnes. Predeceased by her parents John and Ann Arthur and her in-laws Tom and Rosemary Barnes. Jacque was a member of the Sarnia Girls Soccer Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and The Purples Ladies Club. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Residence on the St. Clair, Trillium Villa and Afton Park Place for the care and compassion they all gave over the years. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Service
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, 718 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia, at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will be held in Elmdale Cemetery, St. Thomas, Ontario at a later date.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Parkinson Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
