J. Glenn Winchester
1950-2017
Surrounded by his family, the death of John Glenn
Winchester of Quispamsis, beloved husband of the late Brenda
(MacMullin) Winchester, occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the
Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Digby, NS, on July 15, 1950, he was
a son of the late Carl and Leona (Amero) Winchester. Glenn was
employed with Source Atlantic for several years, retiring in 2010. He
enjoyed playing hockey with the Hampton Indians, and haying on the
family farm.
As you started to slip between worlds, with Mom
pulling your hand is one direction towards the great beyond, and
everyone here selfishly pulling you back towards us, we all knew there
was no force strong enough in this universe to keep you here with us
and away from
Mom.
You held on so long and finally left us at 3pm on the
12th of December, with your sons holding your hand so tightly to help
you be at peace as you
left.
We are so happy for you to be back with Mom, joined
with her again. With the true love of this life, the love of all
previous lives and the love of all your lives that are yet to be
lived. May your journey to the next life be safe and filled with
wonder and awe, hand in hand with Mom guiding you along the way and
embracing you in
love.
You will be missed by so many
here and you were truly loved by all who knew you. You were and are
the picture of what a true man should be and what a perfect father is.
We still have full lives to live, but we look forward to the day when
we see you again. And we
will.
We love you Dad. We miss you so much
already. More than you can possibly
know.
Glenn is survived by his sons; Derek (Olena) and
Shaun (Hien) of Quispamsis, brothers; Murray (Jackie) of Pitt Meadows,
BC, and Gary of Parksville, BC, sister Fay Hartlen (George)
of Digby, NS, grandchildren; Nazariy, Nina, Milan, Mina, several
nieces and nephews, his beloved MacMullin family centered at
the family farm, and Glenn’s second family, Brian and Cathy, as well
