Passed away peacefully at Royal Gardens, Peterborough on Thursday February 2, 2017. Isabelle Blewett, formerly of Selwyn in her 97th year. Isabelle will be remembered by many, along with her husband Neil for owning and operating the General Store in Selwyn for 15 years and for her many years as a successful Avon representative. She was a longtime dedicated member of the Women’s Institute and the United Church Women. As a talented artist, she will be missed by many in the Arts community of the area. Loving wife of the late Neil Blewett (1984). Loved and missed by her daughters Janice Addison (Wayne) of Seagrave, Paula Ruttle (Greg Nyberg) of Buckhorn and son-in-law Robert Welbourn. Grandma is remembered by Brent Welbourn, Louise Pakdil (Bulent), Nicole Minardi (Kevin), Courtney Plain and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Karen Welbourn, sister Roleen Northcott (Arthur) and brother Arnold Fitzgerald (Betty). Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Sunday February 5, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday February 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
