La célébration de
BERNARDO, Isabel (nee Rabadam) – Passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on December 23, 2017, in her 77th year.
Beloved wife to Ben Bernardo for 53 years, dearly loved mother to Anthony and Laurie, Derrick and Jill, Kevin and Leslie, proud grandmother to Devin, Nathan, Brandon, Ewan and Adrian, loving sister-in-law to Cris and Gaspar and adored aunt to Trisha, Troy, Monica, Alden and Jaden.
Influenced by her grandchildren, she became a bit of a basketball fanatic in later years but her love of travel and dance – especially ballroom dancing, her appreciation of a good meal, her shopping talents and her avid commitment to fitness were legendary.
We are inspired by her strength and resilience over the past 2 years after her Lymphoma diagnosis. We admire that her zest for life never wavered but are thankful that she has found peace.
Special thanks to Dr. Benger and the C4 staff at Juravinski Hospital and the staff of Stedman Community Hospice for their exceptional care.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Thursday December 28th at the following times: 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm, 7pm-9pm. Please see funeral home website regarding funeral mass details @ www.baygardens.ca .Interment at the Resurrection Cemetery Ancaster, On.
As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Stedman Community Hospice-St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre.
Many a day her name is spoken and many an hour she is in our thoughts. A link in our family chain is broken. She has gone from our home but not from our hearts.
