Obituary of Irwin Myers
Myers: Irwin, a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the age of 84. Born in Chatham, son of the late Clement and Carolyn (Lewis) Myers. Irwin and his brother Jim owned and operated Myers Brothers Service Station for 30 years in Thamesville. He was a former Reeve of the Town of Thamesville and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#367,Thamesville. Beloved husband of the Late Elda (Holmes) Myers (1994). Loving father of Terry Myers (Sandra) of Thamesville, the late Scott Myers (1996), and the late Patti Myers (2008). Loving grandpa to Randy Myers (Marianne), Amanda Lovas (Brandon), Steven Myers (Angelina), Jason Myers, and Trevor Saunders (Skye). Sadly missed by great-grandchildren Kara, Anderson, Ryder, Rory, Jayden, and Cohen. Dear brother and brother–in-law of Warren and Gloria Myers, Jim and Lois Myers, Doreen Weston, Erwin Holmes, and Elizabeth Myers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Ursula Demers, Rita Demers, Irene Holmes, Phyllis Ranchuck; brothers Jerry, Elmer and Ernest Myers; sisters-in-law Cecile and Evangeline; brothers-in-law Arsene Demers, Leonard Demers and John Weston. The Myers family will receive family and friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Wednesday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment Mayhew-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. If desired donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#367, Thamesville or Thamesville Fireman’s Association would be appreciated by the family.
