POWER Ida Frances Ida Frances Power (Lake) passed away peacefully at Pleasantview Towers on 28 December 2017 at the age of 94. She was surrounded by her loving family, her life’s passion. Predeceased by her husband, Edward (1962) and her children, Carol, Mike, Dave and Gerry sisters Bride Maher, Kitty Sweeney, Marie Chafe, Rose Byrne, and brother Bill Lake. Left to celebrate her life are her children, Ed (Maureen), Don (Eileen), Donna Seward (Ron, deceased), Lorraine, Jean Simms (Austin), Joan Elliott (Pat Carew), Karen Smart (Randy), Janet Stevenson (John), Jeanette (Willy Benham), Frank (Hazel), Patrice (Dave Millman), Paul (Lilly) and Marie Chafe (Dwight Anglehart) also three daughters-in-law Judy, Denise and Lois. Also left with fond and loving memories are 34 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, who brought considerable joy to her later years. Ida was the last surviving member of the Lake Family Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, on Tuesday, 2 January 2018 (which would have been her 95th birthday) from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be at Caul’s Chapel on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. inurnment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donation in Ida’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Society.
