Howard Walter Herrle – 2016

Herrle, Howard Walter (August 15, 1930 – December 9, 2016)
Passed away in his 87th year, following a brief illness, on the farm where he lived his whole life. Beloved husband of Elsie (nee Bos) Herrle for 53 years, and loving father to Karen (Perry Gingerich), James (Michelle Herrle) and Joanne (Trevor Herrle-Braun). Proud grandfather of Beth Gingerich (Bart Nyland), Katie Gingerich (Scott Robertson), Lydia, Sam and Ben Herrle, Alison and Josephine Herrle-Braun. Howard was co-founder of Herrle’s Country Farm Market where he dedicated his life to working with his family to grow sweet corn and other vegetables on their family farm. He spent many happy hours cutting firewood in his wood lot, working in his flower beds and building wooden furniture and crafts in his wood-shop. Private interment Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Howard’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 and from 10-10:45 am on Thursday December 15, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the House of Friendship would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
