We are saddened by the passing of Howard Reany. He was born October 1st, 1918 in Dryden. Howard received his education in Dryden. He attended one year of Business College in Winnipeg. Howard started his accounting studies in 1953 and completed in 1955 to get his CPA certificate. He was employed by the various Co’s that operated the mill for 43 years as CPA in the accounting office of the Woodlands. Howard served in the Airforce in the Second World War in Canada. He played and coached hockey. He also was an avid tennis player. Howard’s interests included fishing, hunting, curling and golf. For several years’ time was spent at the cottage on Ghost Lake. He spent time on studying and investing in the stock market. Howard retired on November 1st, 1983.
Howard is survived by his loving wife Rose, daughter Sandra and son-in-law John Barro of Thunder Bay, sister-in-law Joan Reany, nieces Susan Iskra (Ed), June Coutts (Brad), nephews Charles Reany (Sharon) and Lee Reany (Susan) of Toledo, Ohio. Howard was predeceased by his sisters Myrtle, Olive, Rose, Nona and Muriel and brothers Jack, Charlie and Harold.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
