Hilda Marshall
Marshall (Taylor), Hilda Maureen “Nana” – age 92 of Cole Harbour. It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Nana on December 5th, 2017 in Dartmouth General Hospital with family by her side. Born December 11th, 1924 in Manchester, England, she was the daughter of Clara (Williams) and Samuel Taylor. Nana immigrated to Canada in 1955, first living in Winnipeg, then Montreal and finally in Nova Scotia. Nana loved to travel especially cruising in the Caribbean and Europe. She loved to go camping with her husband, Eric and her 4 granddaughters. Later she enjoyed winters in Florida; first with Eric and then with her friend, Valerie. Nana was predeceased by her husband, Eric; granddaughter, Cynthia Belair and sister, Alice Howe. Left to lovingly remember her kindness and generosity are her daughter, Rosalind Stuckless; son in law, George; granddaughters, Pamela Ryan (Bill), Dartmouth, Laura Sollows (Bruce), Dartmouth, Angela Stuckless, Moncton; great grandchildren, Matthew, Bethany, Shelby, Jordan and Claire; great great grandchildren, Brock and Charley and dear friend, Valerie Trevithick. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by her request, a private family service only. Family meant the world to Nana and Nana meant the world to her family. She will be missed. We would like to especially thank Dr. Richard Gibson, the nurses and staff of 4 east D.G.H. and the caregivers of Northwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to War Amps.
