Obituary for Hilbert “Bert” Fluit
Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord, at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday August 18, 2014 at the age of 72. Loving and devoted husband of Dianne Fluit (nee Welfing). Cherished father of Jackie Boyce (Daryl), Mike Fluit (Anne-Marie) and Darrell Fluit. Adored grandfather of Allison, Owen and Zachary. Special brother of Ralph Fluit (Ann), Andy Fluit (Aileen), Henry Fluit (Ann), Roy Fluit and Sue Talsma (Ian). Bert will also be sadly missed by his brother-in-law John Welfing (Hilda) and sister-in-law Alice Bosch (Hank) as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends for memorial visitation on Thursday August 21, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 94 Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Friday August 22, 2014 at 11a.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the 4th floor, Grand River Terrace at Freeport Hospital for their care and compassion. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or World Renew.
