Helena (Mentus) Wenglowski

At home surrounded by her family, Helen Wenglowski 85 of Toronto, passed away on Monday December 25th, 2017. Helen leaves behind her beloved husband Michal of 48 years, her daughter Oksana and most beloved and adored granddaughter Emma. She is survived by her sister Anna Pieron and her brother Andrej (Bronia) Mentus. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces Wanda (Henryk) Chabelski and Ewa (Wlodek) Trudnowski and nephew Zbygniew Pieron. She is predeceased by her mother Ewa (Makuch) Mentus and her father Michael Mentus. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her life in the last 12 years was devoted to her most beloved granddaughter Emma. She was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in April 2016 but lost her battle on Christmas Day. Visitation will take place on Thursday December 28th at Cardinal Funeral Home on Annette from 2-4 and 6-9. Panakhyda (prayer service) at 7:00. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 on Friday December 29th at the Church of Holy Protection on Leeds Ave. Burial will take place at St. Volodymyr cemetery in Oakville, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Princess Margaret Hospital for Cancer research or to the Church of the Holy Protection. May She Rest In Peace and her memory remain eternal. Vichnaya Pamiat!!
