Obituary for Heather Bowers
We regret to announce the passing of Heather Bowers on August 9, 2017 at the North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing at the age of 74 years. Heather was a cherished and devoted wife, mother, and sister, whose greatest joy in life was being a homemaker and looking after her family. She had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. Her willingness to work hard was an asset to her being a successful business partner with her husband in the various businesses they owned over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed going for walks, and spending time with her family, especially with her grandson Sam whom she adored.
She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 54 years, Dan; her children: Tracey Bowers of Belleville, Vickie Chalklin wife of Doug of Kapuskasing, and Rob Bowers of Portugal; her grandson, Sam; her siblings: Diane Thompson wife of Gord of Peterborough, Debbie Helm wife of Dave Kerr, Trudy McIntosh, and Brian McIntosh husband of Kathy Eyres all of Belleville; her mother-in-law, Gertie Bowers of Belleville; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Ruby and Clarence McIntosh; and two brothers, Donald and Bruce McIntosh.
The family would like to invite family and friends to join them in celebrating Heather’s life on Saturday, August 19th from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the home of Debbie and Dave, 84 Donald Street, Belleville, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated. ©
