On June 4, 2017, Gwen Strap of Devon, AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years.
Gwen is survived by her two sons and one daughter, Sheri (Donny) Shields, Ervin (Carol) Strap and Kevin (Lorraine) Strap; eight grandchildren, Alix (Josh) Lord, Turner (Emily Nagy), Kyle, Ryan and Mark Strap and Meagan (Robert Hayashi), Hannah and Dylan Shields; two sisters, Rosie Kotowich and Adeline Horhut; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Edward; son, Gary; her parents, Harry and Mary; and siblings, Bill, Harry, Peter, Anne, Helen, Shophie, Vicky and Carol.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
