Gunnar Carlson

Gunnar Carlson of Regina passed away at the age of 97 years at the Pasqua Hospital on Monday, May 29, 2017.
He was born at Bawlf, Alberta on November 16, 1919 to Fritz and Anna (Tranberg) Carlson. Gunnar served in WW II with the Royal Canadian Air Force overseas where he meet his wife, Dorothy.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (2003); granddaughter Natalie (2016); his parents, sister Borgny Koehli; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and a niece.
Gunnar is survived by his three sons: WAYNE (Karen), Regina, LEE (Lynda), Pasqua Lake, RENNY (Shelly), Regina; grandchildren Richard (Anna), Jeff (Leeanne), Shannon (Heath), Lance (Tamara), Dustin, Lisa and extended grandchildren: Robert (Hayley), Steven (Kara) and Jason (Nicole); 17 great and extended great grandchildren; sister Lil McIntyre, Edmonton; brothers Roy, Daysland, AB and Eric (Rea), Edmonton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gunnar was always up for a game of crib, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, loved his fishing trips north, a carpenter by trade and treasured spending time with family and friends.
A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
