Gordon Martin, of Hanover, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Brockton on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, in his 83rd year.
Gordon was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Rowe) Martin, born in Keady on August 10, 1934. Gordon worked as a mechanic with Hanover Motors, New Life Mills, Flemings and finished his career with his own small engine repairs called Gord’s Small Engines in Carlsruhe.
Survived by his loving wife Gladys (Barfoot) Martin, devoted children Tony (Jenny) Martin of Neustadt and Tammy (Frank) Pletch of South Bruce. Always delighted to see his grandchildren, he will be remembered by Randi,Cassidy, Kailey, Karissa, Jordan and Janessa. Predeceased by his sisters Janet Martin in infancy and Evelyn Wright.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at Mighton Funeral Home (123 10th Street, Hanover) on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 1 – 3 pm.
Memorial donations to the Walkerton Hospital Foundation-Palliative Care or Sick Kids Hospital Foundation Toronto would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
