Obituary for Glen Ernest Price
GLEN ERNEST PRICE (1925 – 2017)
Peacefully at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 22, 2017, Glen Ernest Price of Tillsonburg and formerly of Straffordville passed away at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband and best friend of the Late Margaret (O’Sullivan) Price (2008). Proud and loving father of Jennifer Price (Jerry) of Hamilton, Darlene Nevill of St. Thomas, Judy Brown (Brian) of Wallaceburg, Kenneth Price (Wendy) of Tillsonburg, Jacqueline Snarski (Chester) of B.C., Randy Price of London, Wendy Price of Alberta, Ricky Price of London, Edward Price of London, Sherry Hollingsworth (Kevin Alward) of St. Thomas, Pamela Fallowfield (Greg) of Burlington and Christine Anderson (Jim) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Edward (1968) and Devina (Bowman) Price (1950), granddaughter Laura Price (1989), 3 sisters Helen Travis (1965), Irene Canham (1998), Betty (infant) and 7 brothers George (1990), Charles (2002), Harley (1924), Norman (1991), Ronald (1993), Donald (1929) and Harry (1998). Glen served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant and Wireless Gunner Operator and was a World War II Veteran. He was also a proud member of the Port Burwell Legion. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Glen at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. under the auspices of Port Burwell Legion #524. The Funeral Service for Glen will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Straffordville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
