Glen spent his early years working odd jobs and travelling from Winnipeg to BC to Toronto, returning in 1961. He renewed an old friendship with Elizabeth Miszczak (known to everyone as Chris) and they married on June 16, 1962. This would have been their 55th Wedding Anniversary. He worked for Thompson Electric, was an electrician for the Fresh Water Fish Marketing Board, and Griffin Steel. In 1977 he worked for the Affiliated Inspection Bureau and was moved to Swift Current. In 1987 he worked for Sask Power, and in 1992 he worked at the Research Station until his retirement. He was a former member of the ACT Club and also enjoyed curling with the boys. He was also an active member in the Independent Order of Foresters for the past 55 years. He had bowled in the senior bowling league on Tuesday mornings for 15 years and was their statistician; however, he lived and breathed model aero planes. Everything revolved around what the Swift Wings Radio Control Flying Club was doing, be it a weekend, a camping trip or holidays. May all your planes land smoothly Glen. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. In Glen’s memory, memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1011 University Dr. Saskatoon, SK S7N 0K4.
