Passed peacefully away at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 23, 2017 Gerald Leslie Fagan at the age of 88. Predeceased by his parents William and Gladys; his first wife Audrey (Noseworthy); his brothers Donald, Patrick and Kevin; his sisters Jane and Maureen; sisters-in-law Marjorie Martin (Bill), Bridie Lawlor, Trudy and Sandra Fagan and brother-in-law Leonard Mackey. Left to mourn with loving memories are his devoted wife Gertie (Mackey); his children Sharon (Presentation Sisters), Pam (Len) White, Paul (Trudy), Carolyn (Mike) Gallant, John (Denise); his brothers Bill, Basil (Linda), Angus (Monique), Ray (Goldie); his sisters Mary (George) Cornick and Terry Mercer. His great love and joy were his grandchildren Jason (May) White, Jennifer (Trevor) Hampel, Jillian (Dwayne) Price, Christopher and Amelia Gallant, Darryl (Joanne), Colin, Mark (Stephanie), Lesley and Emily Fagan and his great grandchildren Nathan, Audrey, Avery, Lauren, Troy, Dylan, Zoey, Lauren, Katelyn, Jordyn, Christian and Eric. Also left to mourn are his sisters-in-law Judy and Debbie Fagan, Helen Edgar, Mary Whalen, Dorothy Dalton, Lorraine (Joe) Stanley, Marie (Phil) Woodrow, brothers-in-law Joe (Marilyn), Ed (Cis) Mackey, Charlie Lawlor and Ed Doucet and a large number of special nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Gerry will be missed by Sr. Mary Dower, Sr. Miriam Martin and all the Presentation Sisters for whom he had a great love and respect. Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday, October 26 and Friday, October 27, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Special thanks to the staff at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home for their kindness and care to Gerry during the past five years. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road on Saturday, October 28 at 9:30 am with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulchre cemetery on Monday, October 30. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to The Gathering Place or Alzheimer’s Society.
