Gerald “Jerry” Gagne
Gerald “Jerry” Gagne, 78, of Riverview and
formerly of Moncton and Saint John, passed away peacefully at The
Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Born in Verdun, PQ, he was the son of the late Henry and
Isabella (Lundrigan) Gagne. Jerry was a retired firefighter with the
Canadian Military and Transport Canada with 47 years’
service and former Fire Chief at the Saint John Airport.
Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Helen
(Glennie) of Riverview; daughters, Marlene Ling (Anthony) of
Coquitlam, BC and Heather Zwart (Steven) of Moncton; cherished
grandchildren, Joseph Gardiner, Nicholas Gardiner, Andy Thorne, Chris
Thorne and sister, Shirley Dixon of London, ON.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by one
brother, Richard Gagne.
A small gathering for family and friends to celebrate and
honour Jerry’s life will be held on Friday, September 8,
2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at 89 Silverstone Drive, Moncton.
In lieu of flowers, tributes in Jerry’s memory to
the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
