TRENTON – Gerald Cecil Snow, 88, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 29, 2017 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Murray and Helen (Bower) Snow. Gerald was a machinist/tool maker with DND and retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening, fishing, hunting and bird watching.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Olive (MacLeod); sons, Fred (Lexie), Broadway; Alan (Anne), Lower Sackville; daughters, Sandra (Dan) Cosh, Antigonish; Janet (Reese) Parker, Hubbards; grandchildren, Andrea, Jacqueline, Christopher, Christine, Heather, Geoffrey, Joel, Ben, Keith; great-grandchildren, Julieanne, Hayden, Maddie, Ira and Hudson Gerald; sister, Shirley (Bill) Phalen, Country Harbour; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Russell, Keith, and Kenneth.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Wednesday May 31, 2017 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday June 1, 2017 in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in French River Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made in his memory to the French River Cemetery. (click on link to donate)
