Passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of Leatha (neé Free). Loving father of George P. (Susan), Bill, David, Jeffrey (Dodi), Kevin and beloved daughter-in-law Rosemary.
Cherished grandfather of several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by son Douglas J. Mckenzie and parents George Young and Dorothy (neé Nixon).
Family and friends will be received at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Thursday, December 14th, from 7-9 pm. The funeral service to honour George’s life will take place on Friday, December 15th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Fonthill Cemetery with reception to follow at the Fonthill Baptist Church.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer’s Research or the Fonthill Baptist Church.
