Francis Frank Joseph A. Belliveau - 2017

Francis “Frank” Joseph A. Belliveau
Francis “Frank” Belliveau, 97, of the
Veterans Health Centre, passed away peacefully at his residence on
Saturday, April 15, 2017. Born in Moncton, he was the youngest son of
the late Phileas and Anna (Leger) Belliveau and the last living member
of their family.
He is survived by his five children, Kim (Kathleen)
Belliveau, Cole Belliveau (Brenda), Nan (Anne) Ayles (Ted), Philip
(Bonnie), Maria Williams (Russell), eleven grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kaye (Kathleen) (nee
Cole) in 2006 and daughter, (Fran) Frances Marie Serventi in 2002; as
well as two sisters, Catherine Dysart and Nan Driscoll; three
brothers, Leonard, Gerard and Ned.
Frank went to work for the CNR in 1939, joined the RCAF in
1940 where he served with the 425 Squadron during World War II in
Britain and North Africa, returning to Canada in 1944. He married his
sweetheart, Kaye, in February 1945. Together they built their lovely
homestead on the Shediac Road where Frank could indulge his love of
animals and growing things and where they raised their six children.
He returned to work at the CNR from which he finally retired as
Atlantic Manager of Fire and Safety in 1984. Along the way, he also
studied Agriculture at the Agricultural College learning the little he
didn’t already know. In later life, he decided to build a
lighthouse for Kaye, “for light housekeeping” in
Shediac Cape which became and remains the centre of activity during
the summer months and will continue to be the place where his five
children, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, along with
the many nieces and nephews and their families continue to gather for
memorable family gatherings.
Frank/Dad, Granddad, Great Granddad, was dearly loved and
will be missed so very much. He was the repository for an enormous
amount of information about everything under the sun.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton on Thursday from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass to celebrate
Frank’s life will be held at St. Bernard’s Roman
Catholic Church (Botsford and Queen Streets) on Friday, April 21, 2017
at 10:00 am with Rev. Charles Broderick presiding. Reception in the
Church Hall following Mass. Interment will take place in St.
Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shediac, later in the
spring.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) in care of arrangements.
In memory of Frank, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion
