F. Allison Stewart
1941-2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing
of F. Allison Stewart of Island View, NB, on April 12th, 2017. Loving
husband of Faye (Kitchen) Stewart.
Allison was born on May 20th, 1941 in St. Stephen, NB and
raised on his family farm in Pleasant Ridge. He was employed by the
Federal Government at the Experimental Farm in Lincoln, NB for over 35
years.
A jack of all trades, Allison was a farmer, lumberjack,
nature enthusiast and expert snowman builder. He spent countless hours
teaching and entertaining his children, grandchildren and extended
family. After retirement, Allison could be found picking fiddleheads,
making wreaths at Christmas, raking blueberries, building
“pigs” and sharing his bounty with others.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Faye, Allison is
survived by his children, Fred (Roy Ramirez), Pam Ferguson (Jim),
Paula Stewart-LeBlanc (Jamie) and Jennifer McDonald (Kurt);
grandchildren, Jamie, Jackie and Riki-Lynn Ferguson, Ethan and Jenna
McDonald; great-grandchildren, Zac, Addison, Jace and Sarina;
brothers, David (Ellen), John, and his twin sister Marion Clarke;
Faye’s siblings, Grace, Velma, Myrna and Gloria (Alistair) as well as
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gilman and Louise (Mundle)
Stewart as well as his brothers-in-law, Eugene, Hazen, Lloyd and
Arthur and his sister-in-law, Jennie.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Monday,
April 17th, 2017 from 2-5 pm. A memorial service will be held at Upper
Kingsclear Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with
Rev. Sudesh (Peter) Valji officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be
