Obituary of Eva Esplen
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury, on Tuesday afternoon, July 25th, 2017. Eva Letitia Esplen (nee Jackson), of Thornbury and formerly of Annan, at the age of 88 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Burrel Esplen. Loving mother of Bob Esplen and his wife, Sandy, of Owen Sound and Joanne Rodger and her husband, Bob, of Holland Centre. Proud grandmother of Ginine (Dave), Johnathan (Emily), Brent (Jennifer), Kelly (Marvin) and great-grandmother of 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Nan Jackson and Sylvia Jackson, both of Woodstock. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Annie Jackson; her daughter, Wendy (Cecil) Posthumus; her siblings, Riley (Verna) Jackson, Evelyn (Donald) Latford, Grace (Albert) Young, William Jackson, Ivadell (Mac) Howe, Percy Jackson.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Life for Eva Esplen will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 31st, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Heather McCarrel officiating. Interment in Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy.
