Emerson passed away peacefully at Seaforth Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Born in Tuckersmith Township to parents Russell and Ethel, on October 25, 1932, Emerson Russell Coleman was 84 years old.
Emerson is survived by his wife Audrey (Faber) and their children, Bob of Listowel, Linda (Leon) Gade of Clinton, and Bev (Gayle) of Seaforth. As a grandfather, he will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Sean (Reneé), Lindsay, Christine (Allen), Joel (Nicole), Mallory, Mackenzie and their mother Pam Coleman, along with Lisa (Pat), Curtis (Kerry), Brent (Meg), Ashley (Dana) Kelly (Curt), and Alex (Khadijah). Emerson was a great grandfather to Adrianna, Julia, Christian, Beckett and Briella.
Emerson will be remembered by his sisters, Dorothy Talbot and Hazel Hildebrand, sister-in-law Anita Faber, and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers and sister-in-law’s, Ernie Talbot, George Hildebrand, Ross and Marilyn Faber, and Russell Faber.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390). Visitation will continue from 12-12:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, at Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Road, Egmondville, followed by a funeral service to celebrate Emerson’s life at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the church hall and private family interment will take place at Maitlandbank Cemetery.
