Mrs. Elsie Green passed away at the Melita Personal Care Home, Melita, MB. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the age of 85.
Elsie is survived by her daughter Kim (Randy) Hanstead of Kenora, ON. and their son Joey (Diana) Hanstead (children, Payton, Jace and Micah); her son Dave (Deb) Green of Napinka and their son Brett Green (Brittany Murray) (Brett’s children, Cole, Jill and Kaylie); brother Bill (Dorothy) Palmer of Souris; two sisters-in-law Edie Gerrie of Winnipeg and Pauline Palmer of Brandon; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Murray Green in 2008; parents Robert and Ellen “Nellie” (Spence) Palmer; sister Ellen (Les) Way; brother John Palmer; brother-in-law Don Gerrie.
A public graveside service will be held at the Napinka Cemetery, Napinka, MB. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Kurt Ardron officiating. Please bring a lawn chair to the service if you desire. A lunch will follow at the Napinka Drop-In Centre.
Memorial donations in memory of Elsie can be directed to the Napinka Cemetery Fund, Box 95, Napinka, MB. R0M 1N0 or to the charity of one’s choice.
