Just call me Liz’
It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of Elizabeth Anna Wagg Taylor. On Sunday, November 12, 2017, Liz passed peacefully at her home in Midland with her family by her side. She has touched many hearts and has accomplished much in her 78 years. She is finally at rest after her long and painful battle with cancer. Through it all her positive attitude, smiles and thoughts of others amazed everyone who knew her. She didn’t allow dark days, instead she found joy in creating as her hands were never idle. She celebrated that joy though her diverse forms of art and was passionate about sharing her art with those she loved, many of us have these mementos in our homes. She never complained, just explained. Her love of Georgian Bay and time spent there with Family and Friends brought a wealth of happiness and peace to her heart. She could dock any sized boat with the best of them. Liz was predeceased by her parents Murray Wagg and Gertrude Oakley Wagg, her daughter Kim and son Ian. She is survived and sorely missed by her husband of 57 years, Price Taylor, her son Murray Taylor, her sister Carol Baribeau and husband Roger of New Hampshire, and her brother William ‘Bill’ Wagg and wife Tina of Orillia. She is missed by her eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and is fondly remembered by many. As per Liz’s wishes cremation has been taken place, no calling hours or services are planned. Internment at St James On the Lines Cemetery, Penetang in June 2018. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and will be received by LeClair Cremation Centre, 565 King Street, Midland, ON, L4R 3N6.
