Obituary for Eleanor Webster
Eleanor Myrtle Webster of Dresden and formerly Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at Park Street Place in Dresden on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 93. Eleanor was the daughter of the late George and Marguerite (Rose) Rabideau. Predeceased by beloved husband, Carson Richmond, and second husband, William Webster. Loving mother of Ron Richmond (Diana), Gary Richmond (Carol), Cheryl Riedstra (Ron), Carol Eves (Tom), Donna Armstrong (Ross) and the late Larry Richmond. Dear grandmother of Jim Richmond (Dawne), John Richmond, Jennifer Gilhuis (Paul), Julie Nighswander (Jeff), Janette Kuhn (Joe), Josh Richmond (Tanny), Erica Richmond, Eric Riedstra (Maggie), Alli Handley (Thomas), Jeff Riedstra (Geri), Trevor Eves (Erin), Jason Eves (Danielle), Ryan Eves (Samantha), Noelle Heyink (Chris) and Matthew Armstrong (Stephanie) and Emily Armstrong. Devoted great grandmother of 31 great grandchildren. Sister of Evelyn VandeVelde (Modeste) and Reg Rabideau (Sally). Predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. Over the years, she worked at Leach’s Jewelers, Zellers, Gurd’s Paint & Wallpaper, The Met and the Red Cross, just to name a few. Eleanor was an avid gardener, loved needle craft and enjoyed cooking for her family and playing games with her grandchildren, and was always up for a card game with her siblings. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 10 AM until Noon on Tuesday, January 2 with the funeral to follow at 12 Noon. Interment in Riverview Cemetery on Wednesday, January 3 at 10 AM.
