Obituary of Eleanor “Holly” Robicheau
Robicheau, Eleanor Holbrook “Holly” (nee: Silverthorne) – Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre on Thursday, December 21st in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Turvey (1957), the late Jack Birkett (1981) and the late Vern Robicheau (1999). Loving mother of the late Jim (Maureen) Turvey, John Turvey, Jay (Linda) Birkett, the late Rick Birkett, Holly Turvey (Ron Butcher), Kent (Brenda) Turvey, Dean (Linda) Turvey and Lisa (Greg) Levac. Caring grandmother of 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Billy, Dave, Bob, Dick and 2 grandchildren. She was an active longtime member of Wesley United Church and of St. George United Church. Music has always been a wonderful part of Mom’s life. For 90 years she brought joy to many with her piano playing. She loved gardening but mostly loved spending time with her family. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday, December 28 from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Donations, condolences and live funeral web-casting are available online at www.beckettglaves.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Holly in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
