Elaine Osborne
Osborne (Boutilier), Elaine Bernice – age 65 of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Arthur Boutilier and the late Phyliss Boutilier (Chase). Elaine is survived by her husband, Austin “Frank”; daughters, Bonnie Bagnall (Mike), Hammonds Plains, Sharon Burke (Ellis), Truro; sons, Gerald Wheatley (Kelly), Ontario, Gary Wheatley, Calgary, Richard Wheatley, Calgary; step son, Jonathan Osborne (Sara), Moncton; Grandchildren, Dylan, Laura, Amber, Michaela, Erica, Matthew, Kayla, Stephanie, Jasmine, Trevor, Emily, Jake; and great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Negus (Colin), Eastern Passage, Karen “Dolly“ MacKenzie, Eastern Passage, brother, Arthur Boutilier (Shelley), Dartmouth; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Bonnie Boutilier and step mother, Elizabeth “Betty“ Boutilier.
Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a special friend to all that knew her. Her family meant the world to her and she would always put their needs ahead of her own. She had a smile that would light up the room and with her outgoing personality and charisma she was always the ‘Life of the Party”. Elaine loved to play games and would always be the first one in line for a competitive game of cards. In her younger years she loved to dance, especially the jive. She also loved to bowl and was part of many bowling leagues over the years.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2pm Thursday, November 30th with a reception to follow both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Interment at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia. The family would like to extend special thanks to Family 1st Medical, Continuing Care, The Inspired COPD Outreach Program Team and Dr. Rayma MacPherson for their compassionate care and support.
