Peacefully at Juravinksi Hospital on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Lorraine Versluis (nee Brooks). Loving father of Steven Versluis and John Versluis (Amanda). Cherished Grandpa of William and Ava Versluis. Edward is survived by his sister Linda Williams (Ralph), Predeceased by his parents Gilles and Elizabeth Versluis and siblings Joan Hood (Gord), Jackie MacNeil (Danny), Corrie McEwan (Doug) and Elizabeth Versluis. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (1 stop light north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 3-6p.m. and Monday, January 9, 2017 from 12 noon until 1p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1p.m. Reception to follow. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Edward are asked to please consider the Juravinksi Cancer Centre and Hamilton Burlington SPCA.
