Surette, Edward passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, February 25 at the age of 82, following complications of COPD. Born in Moncton, he was the adoptive son of the late Fred Surette and the late Marie Roy of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent and the biological son of the late Sylvain and Elizabeth Hébert.
Ed was employed most of his life with Modern Construction Crushstone.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 59 years Ida Surette, born Robichaud. He is also survived by his 4 sons: Roland (Kathy) of Grand-Prairie Alberta, Paul of Moncton, Dan (Heather) of Coronach Saskatchewan and Wayne (Lissa) of Moncton; 5 precious granddaughters: Ashley Cameron, Brownyn, Emeiline and Ruth and one half-brother, Fred Légère of Toronto Ontario.
A funeral service will be held at the chapel in the Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton on Thursday March 2 at 11am followed by a reception at the same location.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers, doctors and extra-mural nurses for their support.
