Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Sunday March 5, 2017. Ed Spencer of Seeley’s Bay, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Martha Hopkins. Dear father of John Spencer (Helen Fielding) of Toronto, Janet Spencer (Steve Squelch) of Oshawa and Scott (Jane) Spencer of Bracebridge. Dear brother of Vincent (Jill) Spencer of Newfoundland and Cleon (Ada) Spencer of Florida. Predeceased by sister, Alberta Ferris. Fondly remembered by grandchildren; Jenna, Kaitlyn and Kurtis as well as great-grandchildren, Kayden, Mason, Nolan and Tessa. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street Elgin on Saturday morning, March 11, 2017 from 10 o’clock until time of Funeral Service in Our Chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment Olivet Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A reception will be held at Seeley’s Bay United Church following the Interment Service
