It is with great sadness that
the family of the late Edward Maidment announce his passing on
December 28, 2016 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre in Happy
Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 90 years.
He will
be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth; his children, George (Diane), Frank
(Pamela), Brenda (Albert), Cathy (Rodney) and Lisa (Curtis); several
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and
his “special baby”, Tara; siblings Louise, Clara
(Albert), Fred (Ruby), Gladys, Ada and Hazel (John) as well as a large
circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. He was predeceased by his
parents, Fred and Mary Ann, his daughter, Gloria and his brothers
Samuel and William. Visitation will take place
from Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Goose Bay on Saturday,
December 31, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
Funeral
will be Monday, January 2, 2017 from the United Church with interment
in the United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy,
donations may be made to the Diabetic Association in
Edward’s memory. Special thanks to the staff at
the Long Term Care Facility.
