Edith is survived by her loving children: Norine Petersen (Spencer), Karen Symes, Gwen (Bill) Thompson, Leslie Dianne Petersen (Kris Johnsen), Lyle (Dianne) Petersen, Carol Verhoeven and Don (Kerry) Petersen; fourteen grandchildren: Shane Bogath, Cory (Ashley) Bogath, Julie Symes, Teressa Symes (Shawn Schwartz), Paula (Bruce) Balog, Rachel (Clint) Harrowing, Stuart Thompson, Zachary Petersen, Patty Verhoeven, Sarah Verhoeven, Erica Verhoeven, Frans Verhoeven, Alycia Petersen and Brady Petersen; five great grandchildren: Benjamin, Jackson, Emily, Will and Charlotte; brothers and sisters: Clifford Schmidt, Ruth (George) Ginn, Alana (Garth) Gill, Esther (Doug) Bergen and Steven (Kathy) Schmidt; sisters-in-law Joan Lepard and Edna Schaffer and brother-in-law Brian (Betty) Petersen as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of many wonderful friends.
Edith was predeceased by her parents Carl and Delia Schmidt; sister Georgia McArthur and brother-in-law John McArthur; father of her children Leslie Petersen; brothers-in-law Bob Schaffer and Harold Lepard.
