After a life well lived with loving family, friends and lots of humor, Doug passed away peacefully in his 90th year. Predeceased by his devoted wife Margaret and son Dennis. Doug will be dearly missed by his loving daughter Linda Korbak, son-in-law and best friend Russ, and daughter-in-law Marlene. Awesome Grandpa of Dawn and husband Bill Rivers, Lynn and husband Chris Lloyd, Melanie and partner Wayne Ott, and Peggy. Great Grandpa of Geoff, Heather, Chippy Boy, Gracie Giggles, Tiffany and Julia. Great-Great Grandfather of seven and brother to Allan and the late Emily, Isa, Dorothy, Ruby, William and Jack.
There was never a dull moment when you were with Doug. He always had a joke or a story to bring a smile to your face. With popsicles and dog biscuits in hand, Doug become known as the “neighborhood Grandpa” to many, loved by the neighborhood pets and a great friend to all.
Join the family in celebrating Doug’s life at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at which time there will be a short remembrance of eulogies. Then going for interment at Golden Lake United Cemetery.
