Margy passed away peacefully at the Trail Regional Hospital with her family by her side.
Margy was born and raised in Trail, BC where she also raised her daughters Sonja and Tracey. Two years ago, she moved to Salmo, BC to be closer to family. She enjoyed the peace and tranquility of her new home where she made many new friends and enjoyed watching the birds from her chair.
Margy was an avid crocheter and enjoyed making all kinds of gifts for her family. Many people knew her from her years of waitressing in Trail, and from her years as a care-aid at Columbia View Lodge. Margy was a strong willed individual with a heart of gold. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
Margy is predeceased by her husband, mother and father. She is survived by her daughters; Sonja (Garth) Forsyth and Tracey Voigt (Scotty), sisters; Evelyn (Desmond) Johnson and Sylvia Jarvis, her brother Alex Paterson, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
I will remember you all and look on with a smile, understand in your hearts I’ve only gone to rest a while.
