Obituary for Dorothy Evelyn Papple (MacKenzie)
Dorothy passed away peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Born in Cabri, Saskatchewan on February 3, 1925, Dorothy Evelyn Papple (née MacKenzie) of Egmondville, was in her 93rd year.
Beloved wife of the late William D. Papple (July 23, 1995). Loving mother of Marilyn Papple of London, Dianne Habkirk (Brian) of Largo, FL, Brenda Coonan (Marty) of Orangeville, Bob Papple (Sheila) of Goderich, and John “Jack” Papple (Rachel) of Hamilton. Cherished Grandma of 12 and Great-Grandma of 17. Dorothy is also survived by sisters-in-law Olave Little of Seaforth, Edna Stinson of London, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Bill, great-granddaughter Ella Papple, her brothers Gordon (Helen), Ken, Les and Ross McKenzie, and her sister Lillian Laing (Bob).
Cremation is taking place and a memorial service will be held at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156, (123 Main St. S.) on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 1 p.m., immediately followed by a celebration of life reception from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390.
