Doris Marie Williamson
Doris M. Williamson, 64, of Moncton, passed away peacefully
at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Born in
Hamilton, ON, she was the daughter of Stella (Surette) Gallant and the
late Roger Gallant. Doris was a retired secretary and waitress.
As we all know, Doris was an awesome wife, mother,
grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and even an awesome patient to
the doctors and nurses. She is remembered by her kindness to all,
especially to strangers. Doris enjoyed travelling with her
husband, David and going to exercise class, although her true pride
was found in her family, especially her granddaughters.
In addition to her mother, Stella, Doris will be sadly missed
by her husband of 20 years, David Williamson; children, Nicole
MacPherson (Neil) of Burnaby, BC and Marc Fusaro of Edmonton, AB;
stepchildren, Martin Williamson (Cathy) and Nicholas Williamson, both
of North Vancouver, BC; her adored grandchildren, Olivia Fusaro and
Lydia MacPherson; her twin sister, Dianna Gallant; sisters, Dori
Farago (Andrew), Pauline Murray (Tom) and Lisa Posavad (Dave);
brother, Jimmy Gallant, as well as several nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
She is in God’s hands now and will watch over all
of us. At least she told me she would and I believe her.
We would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing Staff at the
Palliative Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital. They provided wonderful
care to Doris.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A
Service to celebrate and honor Doris’ life will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00
pm. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the
service.
