Doris Louise Killen
1941-2017
Doris Louise Killen, 75,
of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on Sunday,
November 19th, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital with her
loving family by her side.
Doris was born in Minto on December 15th,
1941 the daughter of the late Oscar and Irene (McCoubrey)
Milton.
She worked for T.Eaton Company in her earlier years and
last worked for CIBC for 19 years before her
retirement. She was a faithful member of
the Hillsborough Baptist Church. Doris and
her husband, Dwaine, were avid bowlers and enjoyed the sport
for 49 years. They were a big part of
the Hillsborough Mixed Bowling League. In
her spare time she enjoyed crocheting. She had a special
place in her heart for cats and you could see this if you went to her
home. She had a huge collection of cats from stuffed animals, mats,
puzzles right down to fridge magnets. Doris was
very close to her family and loved that her son, Mark and his family
were next door. She was able to play a big part in her
grandchildren’s lives. The support of her family and
friends, the dedication and love shown during her illness meant the
world to her. Doris always had a smile for everyone she met
and was a very giving person. She is now at peace and has gone to be
with her Lord and Saviour, her faith was strong. “Until We Meet
Again.”
She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of 57
years, Dwaine Killen; son Mark Killen (Beth) of Hillsborough and her
treasured grandchildren, Zachary and Abigail; sister, Joyce Walters,
brother-in- law, Ernie Killen of Annapolis Valley, NS. She
will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and by her church
family.

daughter, Natalie and brother, Raymond.
