Bumstead, Doris (nee Wall) passed away at her residence in Georgian Village, Penetanguishene, on January 3, 2017 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late James Ivan Bumstead. Cherished mother of Bryson (Darlene), Cyndi and the late Ivan “Frank” (survived by Pauline). Loving grandmother of Jamie (Laurie), Dan (Kathy), Nicole (Dave), Ashley (Shane), Tanya, Nathan (Olivia), Angye, Ivan and Krystle. Great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Ada, Peggy, Gladys, Frank and Lawrence. Doris will be fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces and friends. Visitation will be held at Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Friday, January 6th from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 7th from noon until commencement of the funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Spring interment in Lakeview Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Huronia Christ Catholic Mission or the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff at Georgian Village (assisted living) for the great care they provided.
