Donna AnnMartineau (nee Zadko) – 2017

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Donna Ann Martineau, our beloved mother, at the age of 65 years.
Donna is survived by her children; son, Robert (Kimberley) Martineau, and daughter, Chana Martineau; four grandchildren, Makayla, Breanna, Hunter and Victoria (Tori). Predeceased by her parents, Walter (1973) and Tina (1981).
Donna had a passion for life and a brilliant smile. She wanted to live every day to the fullest and looked forward to new challenges and adventures. She was happiest on the water on Cold Lake and she loved animals, of all kinds, beyond measure.
Sport was a constant throughout Donna’s life, with curling being a life long passion. She proudly played in the very first Scott Tournament of Hearts in 1982. She was a national level coach and instructor in the sport and dedicated countless hours to helping others learn and excel at it. She was also a national level umpire and officiated at both national and international events. Later in life, Donna took up golf with great enthusiasm. As with most things, she pursued this new passion with vigor. Donna was thrilled to participate in the 2009 Masters Games in Sydney, AU.
Donna is lovingly remembered for her beautiful smile and her love of laughter. She loved to help others. She did this through her countless volunteer activities and through her profession as an insurance adjuster. She took great pride in helping people with their claims, a time when they really need an extra helping hand. She received extra acknowledgement and thanks from so many people that she helped in this capacity.
We invite you to remember Donna with us and celebrate her life.
