Obituary of Donald Taylor
Donald Wayne Taylor, son of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Passmore) Taylor, was born on May 3rd 1936, in Oakville, Ontario.
Don met and married the love of his life on November 1st 1958, only 11 short weeks after they began dating. He was always proud to share the beautiful story of how they met, and took pride in sharing their success in marriage.
Don always dreamt of owning a farm, in 1973 he, along with his wife and five children made the trip from St. Anne’s Ont. and moved to Mannhurst Rd., just outside of Petitcodiac, NB. Don owned and operated a successful farm from 1973-1988. In 1988, he began a new business called ‘The Pine Place’, where he fabricated a variety of hand crafted pine furniture pieces. He went to his shop daily to work, up until October 2017. He and his wife Irene took great pleasure in selling these pieces at the Moncton Farmers Moncton until October 2017.
Don will live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 59 years, Irene (Coldrick); their children: Stephen of Mannhurst, Brian of Mannhurst, Tim and his wife Charlene of Amherst NS, Brenda Keith and her husband Greg of Smiths Creek, and Richard and his wife Michelle of Pearsonville; his siblings: Joan Sanderson and her husband Bruce of Selkirk, ON, Gladys Prichard and her husband Jack of Hamilton, ON, Bert Taylor of London, ON, Tina Campbell and her husband Wayne of Brampton, ON, Brenda Bourne and her husband Doug Gravenhurst, ON, Richard Taylor of Gore Bay, ON, Phillip Taylor of Belleville, ON and Barb Taylor-Astley of Powell River, BC; 13 grandchildren: Steve Taylor (Amanda Allain), Jason Taylor, Brianna Taylor, Holly Taylor (Joe Walsh), Amanda Deegan (Derek), Donald Taylor and his wife Jennifer, Natasha Little and her husband Paul, Lisa Taylor (Andrew), Matthew Keith and his wife Terra, Melissa Perry and her husband Steve, Amy Taylor (Adam), Ryan Taylor, Avery Norwood and Samantha Peterson; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
After a courageous battle with a brief illness, Donald Wayne Taylor passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 28, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 81.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
A Celebration of Don’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2pm.

The family would like to thank the staff of 3CN and of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the exceptional care given to Don during his time of illness. The kindness, compassion, and overall great care shown and given to him will be something that the family will treasure in the days to come.
