Donald ‘Don Langman 24 avril 1929 – 2 mars 2017

Langman, Donald George “Don” – age 87 of Hammonds Plains (formerly of Dartmouth), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in White Hills Long Term Care Facility. Born April 24, 1929 in Belleville, Ont. he was the son of the late Maxwell Ernest and Dora May (Churchill) Langman. A 25 year retired Chief Petty Officer of the Royal Canadian Navy, he proudly served on the HMCS Magnificent, Bonaventure, Saguenay and Assiniboine. He had a second career as a technical writer at Pratt & Whitney in Longueil, Que. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ona (Henderson), sister, Margaret and brother in law, Ronald. Don is survived by daughters, Erika (Bill), Maxine (Peter) and Kerry (Brian); sister, Edna Maxine; sister in law, Millicent “Millie”; grandchildren, Patrick, Shannon, Julia and Evan; step grandchildren, Joshua and Tabitha; great grandchildren, Abigail, Noelle, Chase, Rowan and Collin and many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens to follow. The family would like to thank the staff of White Hills Long Term Care Facility for the love, kindness and support given to Donald and to them.
