Obituary for Diann Elizabeth Carmichael (Voolick)
Carmichael; Diann Elizabeth
At the age of 50, Diann lost her courageous, well-fought battle with MS. She leaves behind her husband Darin and three adoring children; Taylor, Becca and Brad. Loving daughter of Marie and the late George Vollick and daughter in-law of Carol and Charlie Carmichael. Dear sister and sister in-law to Lee, Bernadette, Tracy, Tom, Donna and Hugh. She will be greatly missed by nieces Stephanie(Jason), Kaely, Shelby and Kaidence as well as her nephews Matthew(Jess), Jeremy and Riley. Diann also leaves behind her honourary sisters; Catherine Green, Kellie Reed, Susan Patton and Sheri Page who supported her throughout her good times and her bad. Diann had a long career as a Special Education Teacher for the Bluewater District School Board and thought of her many colleagues through the years as her second family. Her bubbling spirit and dedication to her “kids” will always be remembered by all that met her.
Diann’s family invites you to join them for a “Come and Go” celebration of her life at the Markdale Golf and Curling Club, 85 Edith Street, Markdale on Saturday, November 18 from 2:00 to 5:00pm. Her last thoughts were of taking care of her kids, so in lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to a trust account set up for the Carmichael children(Cheques only please, donations can be made through Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton).
