It is with great sadness that we announce that Dennis Watt of
Cambridge, in his 81st year, lost his battle with lung cancer on Wed.
July 12, 2017.
Dennis was a devoted and loyal husband and best friend to Lynne Watt
for 45 years.
He was a much-loved and respected father of Duncan Watt (Terri), Linda
Watt, Rick Watt (Carolyn), Richard Preece (Cindy), Jackie Watt Lauer
and Beckie Preece Henderson (Rob).
Proud grandfather of Darren Watt (Julia), Jeremy Watt (Lindsay),
Stephen Watt and Jack Lauer and great-grandfather of Daxton Watt
Left to mourn are his sister Ethel Freeman (Kevin) of Delhi and his
sister-in-law Susan Diggles (Harry) of Manchester England, many nieces
and nephews especially Helen Johnstone (Dave) of Warrington England
and many friends especially Pat Batte and Brian Fox.
Dennis immigrated from Scotland and worked at the Galt Reporter and
the Kitchener Waterloo Record before enjoying 22 years of wonderful
retirement.
He was predeceased by Deanna Watt in 1970.
The family wishes to thank Innisfree Hospice and the Paramed Nurses –
Agnes and Beckie – for their outstanding care.
Cremation has already taken place.
Visit with the family from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. before the
celebration of life from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Grand Valley
Golf and Country Club, 1910 Roseville Road, Cambridge, Ontario ON N1R
5S3 on Friday July 21st 2017.
Dress casual.
In lieu of flowers donations to Innisfree House would be much
appreciated.
