Obituary of Delila Aucoin – Donkin
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a wonderful and sincere woman; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Delila age 73, passed away with her loving family at her side on Saturday, December 30, 2017, in the Intensive Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney,
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John Langton and Catherine (Kinslow) MacDonald.and was a member of Warden United Church, Glace Bay.
Delila was a very kind hearted person and will mainly be remembered for her times spent with her loving family and friends: she was a true family woman who would grasp every opportunity life offered her to have fun and enjoyment.
She is survived by her loving husband James Francis Aucoin; daughter Barb (Allan); sons Jim (Michelle), Hugh (Kimberly); brother John (Jean) MacDonald; sisters Barb (Joe) Antonello and Alice Leadbeater. Her cherished grandchildren,Tara, Kody, Kristopher, Justin,Stevie-Jane, Charlei Ann, Quin, Brandon, Stephanie, Kailee; great-grandchildren Kadin, Rayna, Jaxen,Cecelia, Audri, Lincoln and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, in Glace Bay.
A funeral service celebrating Delila’s life will be held at a later date.
