David William Harpell
HARPELL, David William Age 64,
of Harpellville, Guysborough County passed away suddenly at home on
Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Born in Sherbrooke, he was a son of the
late Malcolm and Myrtle (Street) Harpell. David worked on the Mersey
Seafood’s freezer trawlers for 38 years. He is survived by
his loving wife of 45 years, Carol (Gay); daughter, Karla (Colin)
Fraser, Leduc, Alberta; sons; Chad (Christa), Truro, Jason, at home;
grandchildren; Cameron Fraser, Callie and Abby Harpell; sisters;
Maisie Pye (Mike), Port Bickerton; Shirley Carmichael (Troy),
Dartmouth; Penny Harpell (Liz), Lower Sackville; brother; Laurie
(Linda), Harpellville; many nieces and nephews. A graveside service
will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the Harpellville Cemetery with
Lewis MacIntosh officiating. Family flowers only please. Memorial
donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A reception will
follow in the Port Bickerton Community Center. Funeral
arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
