and Family Man Passes
Away
David Martin White – 58, of
Kentville, Kings County, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017. Born
in Yarmouth, he was a son of James White, Florida and the late Angela
(Cimino) White. David attended Acadia University and UNB before
working as an optician for over 30 years. He proudly owned and
operated David’s Eyewear in Kentville and Windsor. His
passion was to care for his clients and never hesitated to go the
extra mile. He devoted his life to family and actively volunteered
with his children’s sports. His children meant the world to
him. David was a sporting enthusiast, he especially enjoyed squash,
golf, hockey and exercise. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time
outdoors. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife,
Pamela (Campbell); two sons, Cody White (Dani), Bowen Island, British
Columbia and Tyler White (Desiree), Grand Falls, Newfoundland; step
children, Amanda (Isaiah) Hatt-Gould, Kentville and Ryan (Kristin)
Gould, Calgary; a sister, Debbie Williams-Hawkey, Florida; two
brothers, Edward (Margy), Saskatchewan and James Jr. (Angelica),
Florida; a grandson, Brayden; nieces and nephews; mother and
father-in-law, Dorothy (Pearcy) and Conrad Campbell. There will be no
visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m.
Saturday, November 18, 2017 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic
Church, Kentville, Father John MacPherson officiating. A reception
will follow in the Cornwallis Inn Ballroom, Kentville. Donations in
memory may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Annapolis
Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
